Baby

Tatum has learned how to say baby now and he crawls around saying, "I bay-bay, oooooohhhhh bay-bay. It is so stinking cute! My mom came over for a little while today. While playing together he grabbed a handful of her hair and pulled HARD. He has been doing this to me lately and I've tried let him know that it is not okay. So I told him, "NO NO we don't pull hair". He looked at me, screamed, and pulled it again. When I told him no the second time he sat down in the floor, screamed, kicked his legs, and basically had a melt down. Then he would get up, touch her hair, and look at me. Everytime I would say no and everytime he would throw that little fit. But? He minded me and didn't pull it anymore! He wanted to but didn't. I think 10 months is a little early to start these fits. He doesn't. He is a handful, but I love this mama life :) Most of the time he is very precious.

Duck Duck Goose

Yesterday Kayla and I loaded up the babies and went to the Duck Duck Goose sale. I had never been and wasn't really sure what to expect. It was packed out! There were even people who had brought their own shopping carts (no idea where they got them). These people were serious about this sale! We got there a little after 10 and left a little after 3. I think we waited in line for 2 1/2 hours! It's a little chaotic to shop that sale especially with a 9 month old. By the time I got through the clothes and shoes I was frazzled. I had so much fun though and it was nice to spend the day with Kayla. We were exhausted but the babies did really well considering they had to wait in line with nothing to do. Jackson was awesome, he's almost 3 and he was basically an angel. He didn't make a fuss for having to wait and as a reward Kayla let him ride the "train" outside. I wish I had a picture because he loved it! He thought he was really driving it and the smile on his face was priceless. I got a ton of clothes for Tatum. I think he is set for summer.

This is about the 5th night in a row that Tatum has "slept" through the night. He still wakes up and looks for his paci and sometimes needs a drink of very watered down juice. But he was drinking 3 bottles a night, so this mama is getting a little more rest. He wouldn't sleep in his crib again last night. We aren't giving up but I'm not pushing it. He will sleep there when he gets ready. All too soon he will be 16 and I'll be wishing I had that little baby sleeping in the middle. Right now he needs me to snuggle him at night and I'm so okay with that!

Oh and he has another tooth that popped through yesterday making a grand total of 5! Whoo hoo!

The dreaded crib...........

Last night Josh took Tatum's crib apart so that he could move it into our room. I have been dreading this since he was  born because I LOVE snuggling him every night. But he is getting bigger and he is all over the place. He tries to push Josh out of the bed on a nightly basis. My thought was that he would probably like to sleep in his nice roomy crib where he could flip and flop, toss and turn til his little heart was content. I wasn't sure about how it would go and to be honest I was nervous. So when bedtime rolled around I gave him his nightly bottle and tried to rock him to sleep. He however, did NOT want to go to sleep and we had a rough time. He would fall asleep for a few minutes and then sit straight up like, "oh crap I fell asleep!" When I thought he was good and asleep I attempted to lay him in the crib. He was not having it. He would get up reach for me and say mama all pitiful. I would lay him back down and he'd get right back up. It absolutely broke my heart. How can I tell him no when he says mama like that? So I picked him up, put him in my bed, snuggled him and he fell right to sleep. And I was happy that I got to snuggle my little man another night. So poor daddy did all that work for nothing. Maybe tonight will be better? If not, he's always welcome in my bed :) We'll just kick daddy out.

On another note he is LOVING Blue's Clues. He will watch the whole episode and laugh and clap his hands. It is the cutest thing ever! He also loves Peek-A-Boo on the Baby channel. It is hilarious to watch him. The little baby pops out and says peek-a-boo and he freaks out and screams, claps, laughs, and kicks his legs. It excites him soooooo much.

Hope I'm not boring you guys and thanks for reading about our adventures :)

My First Post!

I am most definitely new to this blogging world, but I thought this would be an easy way to keep up with what my little man is doing on a daily basis. I also thought it would be fun to share with our friends and family who are interested in reading it. I'll try not to make it too boring and if it is I'm sorry. This is just a place for me to have to look back and remember these sweet baby days. I'm also going to try to back up and sort of keep up with what he was doing at each month (if I ever get the time haha).

So for now this is his 9 month post. He is crawling EVERYWHERE and he is into EVERYTHING! He is standing on his own and acts like he wants to take a step. He'll pick up his foot and then fall to the ground and take off crawling as fast as he can. I keep joking that we should enter him into a crawling contest.

He has started this adorable fake laugh and when he gets into something he's not supposed to he will look at me and do that sweet little giggle that makes it hard for me to say no. AND HE KNOWS IT!

He has started eating some table food but he actually prefers his baby food which I suppose is a good thing.

He says ma ma, da da, na na, and uh-oh. He whispers pa pa and Tate Tate, I have no clue why he won't say them out loud.

The child LOVES his bath. All I have to say is, "Tatum would you like a bath?" and he crawls straight to the bathroom and waits for me at the tub. He even tries to take his shirt off for me.

He has 3 teeth two middle bottom ones and one on the top that we call his "fang". He's working on his top middle two and the other "fang" on the top.

He is a hoot and does something new and funny everyday and I want to remember everything! So hopefully I can post here daily. Thanks for reading and I hope I don't bore you!
